Crush Me performed by Go Periscope live at the C89.5 Listener Appreciation Party at Club Heaven in Seattle, Washington. The beginning of the video depicts the last bit of one of their other songs called Take It Personal. Looks like it was an awesome party!
Time for another update on the non lyric based music front. The following songs have limited vocals but are worthy of a little special attention.
I’m enjoying the music of A Scissors (Brian Michael Cunningham) and his latest EP Faster. As far as the songs go OneFourThree builds nicely and seems to feature a few video game sounds mixed in. Flours Part 1 is my favorite track so far, the mixed in vocals from Stranger than Fiction are great. I’ve put a sample below:

Good Luck At The Gunfight has me hooked with their song Puma. I’m not sure the lyrics were taken from somewhere or just created from scratch? Most of the other songs they’ve got out right now are great as well and their official site has a fun mini-game at the bottom… check it out here.

As much as I love music with lyrics, there are some really great songs out there that just don’t have vocals or are remixed so the vocals are less emphasized. Every now and again I like to draw attention to these songs and spread the word. Here are just a few to get things started…
Station X (Jamie Ballantyne out of the UK) has made a few awesome remixes that I’d like to point out, he’s taking a break now but has put all of the songs out for free download! If you enjoy techno sounds check them out at thesixtyone or SoundCloud my personal favorite is Dawn of the Dead Remix originally by Does It Offend You, Yeah from their album You Have No Idea What You’re Getting Yourself Into. This second song is by Sekklow and it’s a remix of Up originally by M83 off their album Saturdays Youth(which is quite amazing in its own right) on YouTube here.

The third and final song is by a group called Cathayist and it has absolutely no lyrics, the sounds is electronica. The song is called Foreign Places and the band is from Hong Kong China.
